Troop F report

The Maine State Police Troop F barracks in Houlton responded to the following incidents from Monday, April 25 to Sunday, May 1, 2016.
Wednesday, April 27
Trooper Casavant charged a 35-year-old Presque Isle man for several violations after stopping him for towing a trailer with a small SUV loaded with a pickup and other scrap metal. The vehicle fenders were rubbing on the tire and spare tire was rubbing on the ground. Trooper Flynn responded and the 6,000 pound registered vehicle was weighed out at 14,000 pounds with its trailer and load. The trailer was not inspected and Tr. Casavant observed several safety violations on the vehicle and trailer. The operator was issued several summonses and the trailer towed from the scene with a wrecker.
Thursday, April 28
Trooper Saucier arrested a 40-year-old Mt. Chase man for violating a protection order after a female called reporting he contacted her on Facebook with a false name. She also reported things out of place in her home and writing on her mirror when she got out of the shower.
Trooper Saucier responded to Mt. Chase for a report of a burglary in progress with people loading property into a truck from a residence. The caller received a call from his girlfriend notifying him of the theft, but upon arrival Tr. Saucier determined nothing was taken and there were no signs of a break in. The caller’s information was unable to be validated and is the second time Troopers were called to the residence in a number of days.
Friday, April 29
Trooper Bell observed a truck in Hodgdon that matched a truck caught on surveillance video from a property damage complaint that took place in Hodgdon in early April. The owner of the truck initially denied driving his truck across the victim’s lawn, which caused damage, but when presented with the surveillance video the owner confessed that it was his truck. He was a passenger during the incident, and that the driver missed the victim’s driveway. The truck’s owner and the victim are cousins and both agreed to settle the situation in the family.
Saturday, April 30
Trooper Endre stopped a motor vehicle on Route 1 in Monticello for speeding. One of the passengers was on bail with search and test as a condition. After a PBT and a urine test, the male subject was arrested for violating conditions of release. The tests showed positive for alcohol, methamphetamine, and marijuana. This is the second time in three weeks that Trooper Endre has arrested the same subject for violating conditions of release.
