Vernal pool walk planned
LIMESTONE, Maine — The Friends of the Aroostook National Wildlife Refuge will sponsor a vernal pool walk Saturday, May 14, 2016, from 10 a.m.-12 noon at the refuge, meeting at the office at 10.
Participants will learn about wildlife in Aroostook County’s vernal pools, such as wood frogs and salamanders. Those attending should bring a pair of tall boots, preferably rubber.
