WHITMORE, Ruth Ann, 45, Washburn, May 3, 2016. Memorial services will be held at 1 p.m., Wednesday, May 11, at the Northern Maine Veterans Cemetery. Arrangements are under the care of the Mockler Funeral Home, Caribou.
WASHBURN – Ruth Ann Whitmore, 45, died unexpectedly May 3, 2016 at her Washburn residence as the result of an accident.
She was born in Fort Fairfield, February 5, 1971, the daughter of Fredrick and Doreen (Sturgeon) MacDougal. She married James N. Whitmore on October 24, 1992. Ruth was a graduate of Fort Fairfield High School and was a life-long learner, attending school to earn her Certified Nursing Assistant, Commercial Driver’s License, and flagging certifications. She was also a member of the American Legion Ladies Auxiliary.
In addition to her husband, James, of Washburn, she is survived by her parents, both of Fort Fairfield, her five children, James L. Whitmore, John J. Whitmore, Jennifer L. Whitmore, Joshua W. McDougal, and Jason N. Whitmore and their spouses, five granddaughters and a grandson. Memorial services will be held at 1 p.m., Wednesday, May 11, 2016, at the Northern Maine Veterans Cemetery with Rev. Charlie Campbell officiating.
