    DOODY, Herman, 103, Washburn, at Mars Hill, July 10, 2016. Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday, July 14, at the Funeral Home. Arrangements are in the care of Duncan-Graves Funeral Home.

    WASHBURN – Herman Doody, 103, passed away Sunday, July 10, 2016, at the Aroostook Health Center in Mars Hill. He was born June 20, 1913, at California Settlement, NB. Canada, the son of John and Maria (Hamilton) Doody.
    Herman was a potato farmer with his brother, Warren, until his retirement. He was a faithful member of the Full Gospel Assembly and a deacon for over 40 years. He loved animals especially horses and enjoyed sleigh rides with his grandchildren. He loved his family and enjoyed spending time with them.
    He is survived by two sons, Wendell and his wife, Joyce of Washburn, and Wallace and his wife, Alice of Washburn; daughter-in-law, Carol of Caribou; sister, Louise Peterson of Monticello; 10 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; 17 great-great-grandchildren; and six great-great-great-grandchildren.
    He was predeceased by his parents; his wife, Sarah “Sadie” (Spooner) Doody; a son, Galen Doody; brothers, Winfield, Warren, Raymond and Edward Doody; sisters, Helen, Marsha, Elizabeth and Edna; a grandson, Edward; and a great-granddaughter, Elizabeth A.D. Sines.
    The family wishes to thank all the staff at the Aroostook Health Center for the excellent care and support.
    Friends may call at noon, Thursday, July 14, 2016, at Duncan-Graves Funeral Home, 30 Church St., Presque Isle, where funeral services will be held at 1 p.m., with Rev. Kevin Kierstead officiating. Interment will be at Fairmount Cemetery, Presque Isle, immediately following the service.
