Jondalyn Marie Brewer, 52, passed away July 13, 2016, at a Burlington, MA hospital, while surrounded by her family.
Jondalyn was born November 11, 1963, in Dayton, OH, the daughter of Edward Charles James Sr. and Janet Lee (Crouch) Durgin. Jondalyn grew up in a military family and moved to many different parts of the country before finally graduating from Bonny Eagle High School, Standish in 1983.
Following graduation she worked as a teller and collections at Casco Northern and also as a dispatcher for Maine Public. In 1992 she went to work for the Town of Mars Hill as deputy clerk and would serve the town for twenty four years. Jondalyn’s co-workers from over the years have always enjoyed her friendship, and sense of humor. On June 7, 1986 she married the love of her life, Timothy S. Brewer and together they would share thirty wonderful years together. Jondalyn and Tim went on many cruises together and usually went with many friends and family. She loved shopping, especially around Christmas. Christmas was her favorite time of year and she had a way of making it special for the whole family. She will be remembered as outgoing with a great smile that brought joy to all who knew her. Jondalyn had a heart of gold and very selfless, supportive, and full of empathy.
She is survived by her best friend and mother Janet of SquaPan, loving husband Timothy S. Brewer of Mars Hill, daughter Ashley Brewer and her special friend Trent Legassie of Presque Isle, two sons; Timothy M. Brewer and his wife Colleen of Mars Hill, Tyler Brewer and his wife Jennifer of Gray, a sister Dayna Wishart of Presque Isle, brother Edward Charles Jr. of Martinez, CA, six grandchildren; Mariah, Chandler, Landon, Morgan, Ethan, Reagan, two nephews; Ryan and Jessica Wishart and Shane Wishart and special friend Amber Voisine all of Soldier Pond, a great niece Brylee Wishart and a great nephew Ridge Wishart. She also leaves behind her father and mother-in-law Phineas “Boger” Brewer II and Shirley of Mars Hill, three brothers-in-law; Phineas “Ted” Brewer III and his wife Christine of Mars Hill, Terry Brewer and his wife Patricia of Mars Hill, Gary Brewer and his special friend Cindy Thibeau of Mapleton, sister-in-law Lori Long and her husband Ralph of Blaine, along with several nieces and nephews. In addtion to her father Edward James Sr., she was predeceased by her loving stepfather Edward Durgin, brother-in-law Bob “Wishbone” Wishart, brother-in-law Todd Brewer.
Friends may call 10 a.m. Thursday July 21, 2016 at the Congregational Church in Presque Isle where services will be conducted at 11 a.m. with the Rev. Tim Stohlberg officiating. The family invites relatives and friends for a time of remembrance and refreshments at the church fellowship hall following the service. A private interment will take place at King’s Grove Cemetery, Mars Hill.
