PIHS back in session August 17

Students in grades 9-12 will be heading back to the classroom on Wednesday, Aug. 17, 2016 according to Ben Greenlaw, principal at Presque Isle High School.

Other important dates for the start of the upcoming fall semester include:
Tuesday, Aug. 9 – Guidance Office opens for the 2016-17 school year with office hours of 8 a.m. – 2:30 p.m. Call 764-7721 to make an appointment with one of the three guidance counselors.
The SAD 1 Health Office also opens on Aug. 9 with office Hours: 8 a.m. – 3 p.m. Students transferring to PIHS must begin the registration process in the SAD 1 Health Office. Call 764-8105 to schedule an appointment.
Parent Orientation will also be held on Tuesday, Aug. 9 from 7-8:30 p.m. in the PIHS Auditorium.
This question-and-answer session is for all parents whose student will be entering PIHS as a freshman or as a transfer student.
Wednesday, Aug. 10 – New Student Orientation will take place from 10 a.m.-noon in the PIHS Auditorium. This orientation is for all students who will be entering PIHS as a freshman or as a transfer student.
Monday, Aug. 15 – Fall sports begin at Presque Isle High School and an in-service day is planned for PIHS faculty only (School will be closed to students).
Tuesday, Aug. 16 – In-service day for PIHS faculty and staff. School will be closed to students.
Wednesday, Aug. 17 – First day of school for all PIHS students.
Wednesday, Sept. 7 – PIHS Open House from 6:30-8 p.m. The Open House is intended to provide an opportunity for parents to meet their student’s teachers and go from class to class as their students would normally do.
