MAPLETON – Alberta Pearl (Elliott) Gough, 65, passed away Wednesday evening, August 3, 2016, at The Aroostook Medical Center, Presque Isle. She was born on March 3, 1951, in Bath, New Brunswick, Canada, the daughter of the late Gerald and Elva (Estey) Elliott.
She married Eugene Gough on August 22, 1970. Alberta worked in the banking industry for many years. She enjoyed working at Houlton Dairy for the last 5 years. She was a very crafty person, whether it was sewing, needle point, decorating wreathes or floral arrangements. She especially enjoyed decorating her home.
Alberta is survived by her husband, Eugene; her daughter, Terri Lynn and her fiancé, Jason Williams of Winslow and her grand dogs, Abby, Dutchess and Hunter; brother, Reginald and Carleen Elliott; sisters, Carolyn and Ray Lawrence Reed of Harvey’s Lake, PA, and Sherrie Elliott of Winsor, Ontario; brother-in-law, Buddy and Cindy Gough of Brewer; sisters-in-laws, Loretta and Marshall Donoun, and Sandra and Paul Sperry of Cow Pen, SC; special nephews, Norman, Matthew, William Elliott, and their children were a great joy to Alberta.
She was a friend to anyone that knew her. She had a very giving heart and will be missed by all
A service was held, Monday, August 8, 2016, at Duncan-Graves Funeral Home, 30 Church St., Presque Isle, where Pastor Wesley Falloon officiated. Interment was at Southside Cemetery, Mapleton.
