Brian’s Ride takes off Saturday
LIMESTONE, Maine — The second annual Brian’s Ride Memorial Motorcycle/Vehicle/ATV Run will be held on Saturday, Aug. 13, 2016 starting at the Limestone Community School.
Registration will begin at 9 a.m. with the ride to start at 10 a.m.
Rides will end at the Limestone Country Club with a barbecue dinner and silent auction. All proceeds will benefit Brian’s Ride, established in 2015 in memory of Brian Caldwell, with funds to support local cancer patients at the Jefferson Cary Cancer Center at Cary Medical Center in Caribou.
Costs are: $30 for an individual for ATVs or motorcycles, which includes a T-shirt, the ride and barbecue; $45 for ATVs or motorcycles with a passenger, which includes two T-shirts, the ride and barbecue; $25 per person for the barbecue and a T-shirt only; $15 for a T-shirt only; or $15 for the barbecue only.
Founders of Brian’s Ride know that from the time of diagnosis, cancer is a journey. Throughout the journey, individuals experience hills, valleys and winding roads. Organizers hope to make a difference in the ride and to help make the journey of cancer care more achievable for Cary cancer patients.
