GORDON, Kerry L., 64, Presque Isle, August 14, 2016. A graveside service will be conducted Thursday, August 25, at 11 a.m., at Hillside Grove Cemetery, Crouseville. Arrangements are under the care of Giberson-Dorsey Funeral Home, Fort Fairfield.
PRESQUE ISLE — Kerry L. Gordon, 64, wife of William Robert Gray Gordon, passed away Sunday afternoon August 14, 2016, surrounded by her family at her Presque Isle home, following an extended illness.
She was born May 21, 1952 in Bangor, the daughter of Harlan and Mary (Carter) Higgins. She was a graduate of Stearns High School, Millinocket and went on to further her education at the Northern Maine Community College, Presque Isle, where she received an Associates Degree in Business Administration and later earned both a Bachelor’s and Master’s Degree in Business Administration from Husson College, Bangor. She had served as the Assistant Director of Admissions at the Northern Maine Community College, Presque Isle, for a number of years. She was also a member of the Aroostook Valley Country Club, Fort Fairfield.
She was predeceased by her biological father, and also the father who raised her, Lee Griffin; her stepmother, Leota Higgins; one brother-in-law, Allan R. Shaw. She is survived by her mother, Mary Griffin; her husband of 34 years, William Robert “Bob” Gordon, both of Presque Isle; one son, Todd Martin of Northport; one sister, Karen Shaw of Presque Isle; one granddaughter, Gracie of Norridge-wock; one niece, Tiffany Bindoo and her husband, Carl, of San Francisco, CA; one nephew, Chad Shaw of Presque Isle; one great-nephew, Harrison Bindoo of San Francisco, CA; three great-nieces, Portia, Victoria and Sydney, all of Presque Isle. She also leaves behind a sister-in-law and her husband, Anne and Ken McIlroy of Buffalo, NY; as well as two special friends, Dixie Shaw and Sherry Thibodeau, both of Presque Isle.
A graveside service will be conducted Thursday, August 25, 2016 at 11 a.m. at Hillside Grove Cemetery, Crouseville with Rev. Kevin Kinsey officiating. A time of continued fellowship will be held after the service at the Crouseville Mission Hall. Those who wish may contribute in memory of Mrs. Gordon to the Aroostook House of Comfort, P.O.
