Lions host Balloon Fest
MAPLETON NEWS
The Mapleton Lions Club thanks everyone who came out for the Crown of Maine Balloon Fest. The club was the host sponsor for the 13th Annual COMBF, and also had a very successful food booth with high sales of doughboys, sausage sandwiches, cheeseburgers and French fries.
This was the best year they have had since becoming the host sponsor for the balloon fest, said club officials.
Lions members thanked the Chapman Ridge Runners Snowmobile Club for coming alongside the Balloon Fest by sponsoring and cooking the Saturday morning pancake breakfast. The crew earned many compliments regarding the tastiness of the breakfast and the down-home friendly atmosphere of the snowmobile club members and volunteers.
The Lions thank the Ridge Runners for their support of the Crown of Maine Balloon Fest. Everyone is looking forward to the 14th annual Balloon Fest next year and more delicious pancakes.
