Oklahoma woman to be extradited
A woman from Oklahoma was arrested in Presque Isle after being found to be violating parole for a drug-related conviction.
Lynn Andrews, 44, was arrested by an Aroostook County Sheriff deputy on Monday, Aug. 22, 2016 on a fugitive from justice charge.
According to a media release by the Sheriff’s office, Andrews called the public safety dispatch about an undisclosed issue, and the dispatcher, after putting her information into a database system, found that Andrews was wanted on Oklahoma arrest warrant for violating probation on a drug-related conviction.
Andrews appeared in court Wednesday Aug. 24 and waived her right to an extradition hearing. According to the Sheriff’s office, Oklahoma authorities will pick her up sometime before Sept. 23.
