WHITTAKER, Rose Lee, 61, Ashland, at Presque Isle, Thursday, September 2, 2016. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m., September 8, at the Funeral Home. Arrangements are under the care of Duncan-Graves Funeral Home.
ASHLAND – Rose Lee Whittaker, born June 26, 1955, in Presque Isle. She went on to be with the Lord on September 2, 2016. She passed away at her home in Ashland, surrounded by her family.
Rose held many jobs over the years. The last being at The Aroostook Medical Center where she worked almost 30 years, during that time, she held different positions. Rose enjoyed traveling, camping and being with her friends, especially the “73 Girls Club” and her co-workers. She truly enjoyed playing the piano, organ, and accordion.
She is survived by two brothers, Elmer E. Whittaker Jr. and his wife, Karla of Ashland, and John D. Whittaker and wife, Kim of Mapleton; two sisters, Mary L. Rochelle of Sevierville, TN, and Tammy J. Turgeon and husband, John of New Carlisle, OH. She has several nieces and nephews and one very special great-niece.
She was predeceased by her parents, Elmer E. and Carolyn (Cook) Whittaker Sr.
Friends may call 1 p.m., September 8, 2016, at Duncan-Graves Funeral Home, 30 Church St., Presque Isle where funeral services will be held at 2 p.m., with Rev. Mark Carter, officiating.
