HOLMES, Oran G, Jr., 80, Easton, September 5, 2016. A graveside service with military honors was held 1 p.m., Friday, September 9, 2016, at Mt. Shiloh Cemetery, Easton. Arrangements are under the care of Duncan-Graves Funeral Home.
EASTON – Oran G. “Junior” Holmes, Jr., 80, passed away September 5, 2016 at Eastern Maine Medical Center in Bangor. He was born April 4, 1936, in Caribou, the son of Oran and Mary (Pacquin) Holmes. 
He served in the U.S. Army 1958-1959. Junior worked many years as a long haul truck driver for various companies: Vahlsing, Delmont Wood, Fred Rattray and most recent for Tom McKenney at Sargent Trucking. He also worked for Carroll Foren and Flewelling Farms. Junior was a hardworking man, and always took care of his family.
He is survived by his wife, Sheila (Foren) Holmes of Easton; two sons, Lance of Easton, and Kevin and his wife, Louise of Terryville, CT; four brothers: Jarvis of Easton, Larry and his wife, Sylvia of Westfield, Doug and his wife, Teresa of Easton, and Dwight and his wife, Joyce of Fryeburg; four sisters: Mona Cyr and her husband, Ned of Presque Isle, Delores Strout of Presque Isle, Evelyn Stickney of Easton, and Ann White of Bangor; four grandchildren: Ryan, Melissa, Amy and Jessica; seven great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by a brother, Galen; and two sisters, Wilma Boyington and Carolyn Longley.
A graveside service with military honors was held 1 p.m., Friday, September 9, 2016, at Mt. Shiloh Cemetery, Easton, with Pastor Larry Sullivan officiating.
