Edgecomb joins Sewall
He’s apointed as business development manager
OLD TOWN — Officials with James W. Sewall Company have announced that Michael Edgecomb has joined the firm’s utilities group as business development manager.
Michael Edgecomb comes to the Maine-based international consulting organization after 36 years in the cable industry, with over 20 years negotiating cable TV franchises, and serving as the cable company’s liaison to Maine and New Hampshire municipalities. At Sewall, his primary focus will be cable TV franchising and broadband planning for communities.
Previously, Edgecomb worked for Time Warner Cable, where he served in various engineering and operational positions from 1980–99. For the last 17 years, he served as their government relations director for Maine and New Hampshire, where he developed deep relationships with town managers and selectmen across the two states.
A native of Limestone and a veteran of the U.S. Navy and Army National Guard, Edgecomb currently serves as a member of the Wreaths Across America Advisory Board and Route Coordinator for Escort to Arlington Cemetery; a trustee of the Loring Development Authority Board; as the Maine state captain of the Patriot Guard Riders; and as a trustee of the General Henry Knox Museum Board.
“We are very pleased to welcome Mike to the team. His knowledge of the cable industry and his intimate understanding of the cable TV franchise agreement negotiating process, will assist Sewall’s growth in the municipal broadband and cable consulting arenas, and help to expand the availability of broadband to unserved and under-served areas,” said Sewall Vice President Brian Lippold.
Edgecomb will be based out of Sewall’s Spruce Head and Old Town offices and can be reached at (207) 817-5530, or via email at michael.edgecomb@sewall.com.
