A collision between an empty potato truck and an SAD 1 school bus crossing Academy Street in Presque Isle Friday afternoon left some vehicle damage and no injuries, according to police.
The bus, with four students on board, was heading south on Dudley Street crossing Academy Street Friday afternoon, and the driver apparently failed to properly yield to an unloaded Irving Farms potato truck heading west on Academy Street, according to the Presque Isle Police Department incident report.
The truck crashed into the left side of the bus, near the driver. No one was injured and the damage to the vehicles is still being assessed.
The four students on the bus were all checked by Crown Ambulance and put on a different bus to go home, and parents were notified of the incident, said SAD 1 Assistant Superintendent Clint Deschene.
