Spoken word artist
PRESQUE ISLE, Maine —The University of Maine at Presque Isle’s Student Activities Office will host spoken word artist and College National Poetry Slam Champion Neil Hilborn on Thursday, Oct. 20, at 7 p.m. in the Campus Center’s Multi-Purpose Room.
In August 2013, his poem OCD went viral and became the most-viewed slam poem ever on YouTube, with over 11 million views to date. He has been featured on National Public Radio and in The Wall Street Journal.

Fall blood drive
PRESQUE ISLE — The University of Maine at Presque Isle, in conjunction with the American Red Cross, will host its fall American Red Cross Blood Drive on Friday, Oct. 21, from 12-5 p.m. in the Campus Center’s Multi-Purpose Room.
Members of the campus and community are invited and encouraged to participate. The blood drive is sponsored by the Dean of Students Office, the Residence Life Office, Phi Eta Sigma National Honor Society, and the UMPI Red Cross Club.
