 PTO dinner draws 150

WASHBURN NEWS
By Amy Sawyer

The dinner sponsored by the Washburn Area PTO for Reed Plummer was a huge success thanks to all of his family and friends who helped make it happen.

There was a great turnout, bringing in upwards of 150 people on Friday, Oct. 21. Organizers thank all who donated supplies, food and help. Without such a caring community this dinner wouldn’t have been possible.
The PTO sponsored walkway dedication to the former superintendent, Dr. Elizabeth Ervin, will be held Thursday, Nov. 3, at 10 a.m. outside at the Washburn District Elementary School in Washburn. All are welcome to attend and gather around the students while the walkway is dedicated.
There will be a bake sale at the parent/teacher conferences at the Washburn District Elementary School on Tuesday Nov. 22. The PTO is in need of baked goods to sell. If you are willing to donate some goodies, contact any PTO member or Angela Farley at 455-8048.
