Arts group plans nostalgic dance
PRESQUE ISLE — Partners in the Arts will sponsor “The Last Dance” at the Haskell Rec Center on Saturday, Nov. 5, from 7 to 11 p.m., an evening of fun and sharing of memories for adults 21 and over.
There will be a memory book for everyone to sign and note a memory from days and activities at the Rec Center. Light refreshments and a cash bar will be available. Music for dancing will be provided by Chris Carroll and a photo booth will be available. All ticket holders will receive a special gift.
Tickets for the event are $15 for a single and $25 for a couple. Tickets will be available from members, at Goin’ Postal or at the door.
Proceeds from the evening will go towards granting funding requests to area teachers who are interested in bringing art programs to their schools.
Since the early 1990s, Partners in the Arts have awarded over $30,000 towards providing art enrichment programs to central Aroostook schools. For further information, contact Judy Kenney at 764-1787.
