    CHARETTE, Wayne Victor, Sr., 66, Ashland, November 13, 2016. A graveside service will be held 11 a.m., Wednesday, November 16, at Johnson Cemetery, Presque Isle. Arrangements are under the care of the Duncan-Graves Funeral Home.

    ASHLAND – Wayne Victor Charette Sr., 66, passed away November 13, 2016, at his residence in Ashland surrounded by his loving wife and children. He was born on July 8, 1950, in Ashland, the son of Victor and Fern (Goslin) Charette.
    Wayne worked many years as a logger for Robert Gough Logging. Wayne was an avid outdoorsman, with a passion for hunting and fishing. Wayne’s love of firearms transferred to his son, James; their target practice sessions were legendary. Wayne proudly boasts the title of 11 time State Arm Wrestling Champion and shared that passion with his son, Wayne. Wayne was always proud of his daughter Wendy’s strength and she will always be ‘Daddy’s Little Girl.’ Most important was Wayne’s love for his family.
    Wayne is survived by his wife of 45 years, Joyce (Ayotte) Charette of Ashland; two sons, Wayne Jr. and his wife, Donne of Maryland, and James and his wife, Sara of Ashland; daughter, Wendy of Bangor; two brothers, Edwin Charette and his wife, Nancy (Cote) of Ashland, and Pat Charette and his wife, Donna (Mountain) of Ashland; two sisters, Nancy (Charette) Saucier of Ashland, and Joyce (Charette) Hitchcock and her husband, Jim of Presque Isle; seven grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
    In addition to his parents, Wayne was predeceased by his brother, Dale Charette Sr.; niece, Susan Berry; nephew, Dale (DJ) Charette Jr.; and brother-in-law and cherished friend, Frederick Saucier.
    A graveside service will be held 11 a.m., Wednesday, November 16, 2016, at Johnson Cemetery, Presque Isle. Donations may be made in his memory to C-A-N-C-E-R, P.O.
