– Sgt. Clark, Cpl. Michaud, and Tr. Desrosier responded to a Perham traffic crash resulting in the death of a 29-year-old male. The vehicle was traveling south on Rt. 228 at a high rate of speed and failed to negotiate a turn. The vehicle left the north bound side of the road striking a culvert causing the vehicle to become airborne and roll over multiple times. The operator and sole occupant in the vehicle was not wearing a seat belt and was ejected from the vehicle. The operator died on scene as a result of his injuries. Speed and alcohol are believed to be factors in the crash. Tr. Desrosier is still conducting the investigation into this crash.
Saturday, November 12
– Tr. Kilcollins was conducting a well-being check in Cary on two children as requested from their mother. During the course of his investigation Tr. Kilcollins became aware that the 32-year-old man living inside the residence (father of the children) was prohibited from possessing firearms due to a past domestic violence conviction. The man admitted to having firearms in the home and said he kept them to defend his family. Tr. Kilcollins confiscated the weapons and issued the man a criminal summons for possession of a firearm by a prohibited person.
– Cpl. Michaud issued a St. Francis man three traffic citations. The first one was when Cpl. Michaud pulled the man over for doing 77 mph in 50-mph zone. The next two came minutes later when the man sped off after the initial stop and accelerated up to 78 mph in the same speed zone. The driver also made a bad pass and forced the vehicle he was passing to slow and pull to the right while forcing an oncoming vehicle to do the same to avoid a crash. Cpl. Michaud stopped the man a second time and issued him another speeding ticket and a citation for an improper pass.
Sunday, November 13
