Gowen TAMC’s new officer
PRESQUE ISLE — The Aroostook Medical Center and the EMHS Foundation have welcomed Hollie Gowen as the new TAMC Foundation philanthropy officer.
The TAMC Foundation, as a member of the EMHS Foundation, is dedicated to raising funds to strengthen TAMC programs and services and to support patient care.
“Hollie brings an ideal mix of experience, enthusiasm and attention to detail to our team,” said Joy Barresi Saucier, vice president, strategy and community benefit at TAMC. “Hollie is already playing a significant role in our current campaign for the County Dialysis Center and she is now gearing up for the annual Lights of Life campaign. I am impressed by how much she has accomplished in a short period of time.”
Gowen joined the team earlier this fall. She has already begun to work with donors, prospects, employees, hospital leadership and the community.
“A lot of support for the fundraising efforts comes from patients and family members who want to express their gratitude for the care they or a loved one received, as well as local businesses that want to support access to quality specialty care for their employees” explained Barresi Saucier. “Hollie will be working one-on-one to build and expand relationships with these individuals.”
Prior to joining EMHS, Gowen was employed at MMG Insurance in Presque Isle as an underwriter. She has also served as vice president of the board for the Central Aroostook Humane Society and founded the Friends of Central Aroostook Humane Society, a volunteer auxiliary group.
She earned a bachelor of arts in journalism from the University of Maine and a master of arts in journalism from Northeastern University. A native of York, she resides in Presque Isle with her husband, Brad Wolverton, and their young son.
