On Sunday, the Mapleton Lions Club officially kicked-off the annual Christmas season in Mapleton, Chapman and Castle Hill with the hanging of the Maine Street Christmas Lights. The Club is pleased to show the Christmas Spirit by lighting Main Street.

The Christmas lighting is made possible as a result of our friends and neighbors’ support of Mapleton Lions Club fundraising, the Christmas lights are a direct benefit to the towns of our friends and neighbors’ support.
This year’s lighting crew included chairman Steve Hanning, Rick Fowler, Jon Roark, Eric Rodd, Jake Graham and Allen Salo, club president. The Mapleton Lions Club wishes everyone a happy holiday season.

School Book Fair largest ever held

Janet Brown of the Mapleton Parents Organization thanks parents, grandparents, teachers and friends for their purchases in the book fair. Sales were over $5,400 and most appreciated by the MPO. Also during the fair, the school held a Grand Luncheon, where family members and caregivers were invited to lunch with students. This year’s group of guest dinners was the largest group of people to ever attend the Grand Luncheon.
Thanks to everyone who attended these two Mapleton School events in support of the parent teacher organization and the school.
Finally everyone should be looking for the announcement regarding the MPO’s spring book sale. The MPO is planning another sale of books the kids can read during the summer. Thanks again to all supporters of the MPO.
