SEASONAL TREAT — Thomas Lunn, left, president of the Probus Club of Presque Isle, greets special guest Larry Jenkins, who attended the club’s Dec. 15 meeting to provide a program of Christmas music.

Special guest Larry Jenkins provided a program of Christmas music, during which he offered baritone vocal selections and also played instrumental pieces on flute, trumpet and saxophone.
Club officials said Jenkins is “a man with outstanding talent.”
“Everyone in attendance certainly enjoyed the spirit of the season that Larr brought to the session,” said Probus President Thomas Lunn.
Jenkins was born in Fort Fairfield and earned his degree from the Berklee College of Music in Boston. He has taught music programs in several schools, and was part of the Billy Speer Trio, traveling the East Coast and the Maritime provinces, performing gospel music. He has also served as pastor for Baptist churches in Woodland, Easton and Presque Isle.
Jenkins has been married to his wife, Michelle, for 36 years; they have two children and four grandchildren.
Any retired professional who would like to learn more about the various enterprises and businesses in the Presque Isle and greater Aroostook County areas is welcome to attend Probus Club meetings, which are held the third Thursday of each month at the NMCC campus in Presque Isle.
