The Aroostook County Snowdogs’ Special Olympic basketball team will square off against the Presque Isle High School girls this afternoon at 3 p.m. at PIHS.
The game is being streamed live on www.whoufm.com.
The Snowdogs played against the PI boys on Dec. 21 and came through with a 62-60 win thanks to a last-second game-winning basket by Kent Stevens.
Coach Brian Hamel’s Snowdogs will remain busy over the next 10 days. A Special Olympics Skills Competition takes place at UMPI’s Gentile Hall on Wednesday, Jan. 11 beginning at 9 a.m., an event which will conclude with the Snowdogs’ game against the Caribou High School boys at 11 a.m.
Team personnel will also be the guests of honor at the Presque Isle High School boys and girls games against Orono on Saturday, Jan. 14 beginning at 3 p.m.
