PRESQUE ISLE – Warren M. Hood, 68, passed away January 4, 2017, at Eastern Maine Medical Center, in the presence of his beloved family. He was born March 2, 1948, in Berlin, NH, the son of Dr. Ralph O. and Virginia (Goodnow) Hood.
Warren served as a welder for many years, spanning from his time in the Navy, Gould & Smith, Potato Service Inc. and McCain Foods. Most recent, he worked in the hardware department at Marden’s.
He is survived by his wife of 45 years, Shizuko Hood of Presque Isle; his son, Edward Hood of Virginia Beach, VA; his grandson, Alexander Ito Hood of Orange Park, FL; his younger brother, Wayne Hood and his wif,e Sherry of Lewiston. He was predeceased by a brother, Edward E. Little; and a sister, Roberta Ann Aripez
A memorial service will be held 1 p.m., Thursday, Jan. 12, at Duncan-Graves Funeral Home, 30 Church St., Presque Isle with Pastor Darren Bonville officiating. Interment with military honors will be at Maine Veterans Cemetery, Caribou. Online condolences may be shared at www.duncan-graves.com.
