BLAINE, Maine – Carroll J. Gilman, 74, died Thursday, December 21, 2006 at a Houlton hospital. He was born March 30, 1932 in Blaine the son of Verna Gilman.
Carroll was a self-employed earthwork contractor for many years and also raised beef cattle. One of his favorite past times was enjoying a cup of coffee with his friends. He was an attendee of the Free Baptist Church in Blaine.
He is survived by a daughter Cheryl Henderson and her husband Tom of Bridgewater, two grandchildren; Jennifer Vincent and her husband Fred of Hampden and Adam Henderson and his wife Carissa of Bridgewater, also a great grandson Chase Henderson.
Funeral services were conducted 3 P.M. Saturday at the Duncan Funeral Home, 8 Main St., Mars Hill with the Pastor Lawrence Beals officiating. Friends called from 2 P.M. until time of service. Interment at Sanborn Cemetery, Blaine. Following the funeral a reception was held at the Bridgewater Free Baptist Church in the fellowship hall. Arrangements in care of Duncan Funeral Home.
