PRESQUE ISLE, ME — Maine Epsilon Master chapter of Beta Sigma Phi met on Dec. 15, 2017 at the home of Dolores Hutchins.
Members enjoyed appetizers served by Cathy Walton and the social committee.
President Sue Lougee conducted the business meeting. Thank-you notes were shared from sisters recovering from illnesses and from community organizations receiving the chapter’s recent donations. Members circulated and signed holiday cards to be mailed to our snowbird members.
Long-time member Barbara Hews passed away recently and a memorial service for her will be held in May.
As a fundraiser for the Sister Mary O’Donnell Homeless Shelter, Honey Higgins brought her famous peanut butter balls.
Judy Kenney reported that two chapter scrapbooks from the past have been donated for display at the Mark and Emily Turner Memorial Library.
Tammy Walton led an entertaining Yankee gift swap.
Following the meeting the social committee served delicious holiday refreshments.
The next meeting will be Saturday, Jan. 21, 2017 at 9:30 a.m. at the home of Bonnie Cowett.
