FF kids learn responsibility

FORT FAIRFIELD, ME — The staff of Fort Fairfield Elementary School recognizes students each month for positive school citizenship using character education traits. School counselor Emily Ala visits classes monthly, presenting a lesson related to the trait for the month.

During one recent month, staff members were looking for strong examples of responsibility, which was defined as being accountable for word and deed, and having a sense of duty to fulfill tasks with reliability, dependability and commitment.

School officials congratulated the following students for showing a high degree of respect and courtesy in personal and group learning activities:
Kindergarten: Killian Eagles, Eedie Jones, Colby MacDougal, Ava Milliard and Carson Rooney.
First grade: Lindsay Deschesne, Mason Henderson, Halle Mathie, Brylee St. Louis and Jacoby St. Peter.
Second grade: Melanie Dillon, Andrew Gagnon, Jack Helstrom, Annabelle Jones, Ethan Milton and Chloe White.
Third grade: Saré Bernard, Avery Butler, Jayden Corey, Emma Doughty, Keira Fox, Isabella Jones, Stephen LeSuer, Vivian Ralph, Makinsie Rogeski, Livia Sawyer, Bella Winters and Dominic Woodcock.
Fourth grade: Madalynn Bing, Katelyn Buck, Mattey Devine, Matthew Maguire, Kayden Michaud, Jonis Ouellette, Kaelyn Sherwood, Emily Taggett and Cole Watson.
Fifth grade: Chad Crandall, Brook Henderson, Ean Henderson, Bryce Martin, Alexander Mejia, Brandon Norsworthy, Jacqueline Pelletier, Dawson Raymond, Dominique Rodriguez, Timothy Toomey, Haylee Young and Sydney Young.
