HOULTON — Dust off those dancing shoes and loosen up those limbs, Ballroom Dancing is coming to Houlton on Thursday nights from 6:30 – 8:00 p.m. beginning on Oct. 11. SAD 29/70 Adult Education and the Houlton Parks and Recreation Department are co-sponsoring these lessons at the Gentle Memorial Building on Main Street in Houlton.     At the ballroom dancing lessons, taught by Frank and Melissa Barton, students will learn two new dances each week for five weeks. The sixth week will culminate with a social dance and a chance to practice all those new skills. No more envying contestants on “Dancing with the Stars” or “So You Think You Can Dance,” this is your chance to get some exercise and learn something new (or recall something old).
Cost for the lessons is $60 per couple or $30 per single.  The class is limited to 20 people and preference is being given to couples with singles accepted if the class doesn’t fill.
To register please contact SAD 29/70 Adult Education at 521-3154.
