HOULTON — Change is a good thing, especially when it means making sure your customers are a lot more comfortable.
After 22 years, the Houlton branch of the Varney Insurance Agency is making the move from 64 North Street to 9 Katahdin Lane. On Monday, Oct. 15, the company relocated its services to the new location.
NEW HOME — Varney Agency has relocated to this building on Katahdin Lane, off North Street and near Tim Hortons and the Katahdin Trust Operations Center. The insurance agency had been located at their previous space for 22 years.
“We needed the extra space to expand,” explained Cathy Davis. “We wanted to make it much better for the customer to get in and out of.”
The North Street location was smaller and less accessible and Davis said that was holding them back from serving their customers as best as they could. The new location, she said, was larger, more professional and offered better customer convenience than they had before.
“The customers have a little bit more privacy in the office,” she explained. “The change allows us to upgrade and grow.”
The branch, which is a general insurance agency for personal, home, auto, business and recreational insurance needs, now has additional office space and a conference area in a more professional setting.
Their new mailing address will be changed to P.O. Box 99, Houlton, ME., 04730. Their phone numbers, and e-mail address will remain the same as well.
