PRESQUE ISLE — A free six-week “Financing Your Future” workshop series begins Monday, Oct. 22 at the Presque Isle Women, Work and Community Center located in Aroostook Hall on the Northern Maine Community College campus. Hands-on activities guide participants in becoming more comfortable and confident with money.
The series will explore attitudes and beliefs about money. Participants look at their current financial situation while learning ways to manage spending, increase income, and make wise use of credit. “Financing Your Future” explores money management tools and budgeting ideas to help participants meet their personal financial goals. As one participant commented, “I look at my spending differently now. They gave me ideas on how to set a budget, and I’m more self-disciplined in how I spend my money.”
This workshop series has been rescheduled to be held on consecutive Monday evenings through December 3, from 5:30-8.
“Financing Your Future” is open to any member of the public free of charge. Pre-registration is required. To register or for more information, contact staff at the Presque Isle Women, Work, and Community Center at 764-0050.
