OPEN GYM

GAME ROOM

ADULT ACTIVITIES
Walkers are welcome from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. each Monday through Friday. Participants must wear sneakers. Free to all participants.

PARENT & TOT TIME
Parent and Tot Time will be held each Tuesday and Thursday from 9-10:30 a.m. These unstructured times give parents and tots the chance to meet new friends. Some toys will be provided, but you may bring your own. Free to all participants.

ADULT OPEN GYM
Adult open gym will be held each Monday and Wednesday from 7:30-9 p.m. Participants must be out of high school and age 18 or older to play. Cost is $2 per person per night.

Rules & General Information
Adult and youth supervisors are provided at all open gym and game room hours. Children in grade one or younger must be with an adult to be at the recreation center for open hours.
An adult must accompany any youth in grade six or younger to stay past 5 p.m., unless he/she is attending a scheduled activity. During evening hours, once inside the building he/she must stay in.
Parents will be notified if a youth is asked to leave the recreation center due to bad or inappropriate behavior. There is a phone available to call home for rides.
Most games cost 50 cents to play in game room. Games include ping pong, bumper and regular pool, air hockey, bubble hockey and foosball.
The recreation center’s open gym and game room hours may change due to scheduled activities, call 532-1310.
The Houlton Parks and Recreation Department will be offering an aerobics class this fall. Classes will be held each Monday and Wednesday from 5-6 p.m. at the Gentle Memorial Building. Classes will start on Nov. 5.
The class will include warm up, aerobic phase and cool down.  Participants should wear sneakers and comfortable clothes.
Cindy Hutchinson will be the instructor. Cost for the eight-week program will be $40 for Houlton residents and $60 for non-residents. The class will be limited to 20 participants, so registration is required.  To register, call the recreation department by Nov. 2 at 532-1310.
