Brian and Linda Wing of Crystal and Sherri Allen, along with Kristin and Kelsey, of Hodgdon traveled to Bangor on Saturday to attend a Tae Kwon Do Tournament that the Wings’ grandson Matthew Hartin competed in.
Hartin, son of Marcy and Tom Hartin of Newport, took first place in his form demonstration and second place in his sparring and weapons.
After the tournament, the family went out to eat and celebrate Hartin’s success, as well as his father’s 39th birthday. They went shopping at the Bangor Mall and returned home that night.
