PLEASANT GROVE, Utah – Close to My Heart, a scrap booking and direct sales company has recently released its spring Idea Book to its independent consultants and customers. Presque Isle independent consultant, Denise Dumais is offering the new products to anyone interested in scrap booking and stamping.
“I’m excited to teach the art of scrap booking and card making,” Dumais said. “I enjoy helping others celebrate relationships as well as representing the best quality products in the industry.”
The tri-annual Idea Book and catalog includes over 325 scrap booking, card, paper crafting and home décor sample ideas. Customers will also find five technique demonstrations and tips throughout the helpful manual. “What drew me to join Close to My Heart was the clear acrylic stamp sets along with the combination of scrap booking products the company offers,” Dumais reported.
For over 20 years the company has designed scrap book and paper products and programs. “Close to My Heart believes scrap booking and stamping should be fast, simple and easy for people of all creativity, time and interest levels,” Dumais said.
Dumais said she joined Close to My Heart as a consultant in May of 2005 strictly as a hobbyist. Taking orders from friends and family, she did a couple of “Hostess Clubs,” then in May of 2006 was a vendor at the Aroostook Scrap booking Convention held at the Northeastland Hotel during National Scrap booking Month. Since then she reports that her business has increased.
“I have clients from Houlton to Van Buren and Fort Kent. I even have clients in southern Maine and out of the state. I have a 40-hour a week job as well but I am increasing this business … I’d like to do it even more.
“I really enjoy taking photographs of family and friends and organizing them into scrapbooks. My daughter, Kassandra is also involved in scrap booking and she goes with me sometimes when I teach or do consultations,” Dumais stated.
In addition to the sheer love of scrap booking, Dumais said there is a huge incentive for all sales representatives in this business. For a consultant who does outstanding sales work, there is a Mediterranean cruise in 2008 just waiting to be taken.
Dumais will be holding an open house to introduce the new spring Idea Book on January 6 from 10 a.m.-4 p.m. at her home on 356 Parsons Road in Presque Isle and also providing regular classes and workshops from that location. At the open house there will be door prizes, make n’ takes, a mystery hostess drawing for free merchandise and much more.
