“There’s No Place Like Home” was the theme of October 7-9 Maine Association of realtors convention in Rockland. Educational seminars and speakers from Maine State Housing, Maine Bankers Association and legislative updates were part of this meeting. There are more than 4,000 realtors in the Maine.
Mooers Realty owner Andrew Mooers attended to learn Maine banks are in better shape than the rest of the country due to a conservative lending process. And that Washington County is ahead of last year in home sales. The median housing price for Maine is $180,000 and for Aroostook County the figure comes in at $85,000.
