Carl and Monda Drew of Stacyville celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary on October 4, 2008.
A party was given in their honor on the same day by their children at the Rockabema Snowsled Club in Patten. Many friends and family members were present to with them well on this special occasion.
A nice, buffet meal was provided by the children and friends for everyone.
A wedding-style cake, made by Penny Daggett, and decorated in white and pink, was cut by the couple. A beautiful, floral centerpiece, lit with candles, and corsage and boutonniere were arranged by Georgia McNally of Patten Floral. Cards and gifts were received by many guests. Entertaining music was supplied by Shawn Craig.
Monda and Carl’s original wedding attendants, Shirley and Gibby Rodgerson of Millinocket, were in attendance with Gibby giving a toast to the couple. Decorations of gold and white colors and balloons brightened the room which was full of festivities and dancing throughout the evening.
Carl is retired from Sherman Lumber Company. He and Monda reside in Stacyville. They have five children; Carlene Gould and her husband John of Sherman, Keith Drew and his wife Cindy of Patten, Tammy Craig and her husband Shawn of Patten, Andrea Patterson and her husband Jerald of Stacyville, and Timmy Drew and his wife Shelley of Stacyville; twelve grandchildren, Travis, Amanda, Cooper, Nikolas, Lindsay, Lucas, Shawna, Makayla, Caine, Kendra, Brandon and Hannah.
