HISTORY IN THE MAKING — Lewis Webber celebrated his 94th birthday by handing out ballots to voters at the Gentle Memorial Building in Houlton. Webber said he was helping out during the election at the urging of his significant other, Betty Childers.
    Some 25 to 50 voters were lined up even before the doors opened according to Houlton Town Clerk Cathy O’Leary. By mid-day a steady stream of residents passed by candidates and signage to exercise their right to vote. Among them were Chantelle LaPointe and daughter Addison who may have gotten an early lesson in civics for an historic election unlike anything in American history.
