New year, same snow

    Nothing signifies the start of New Year in Aroostook County quite like a snow storm. On Jan 8, Aroostook residents experienced a storm that blanketed varying inches of snow on top of already building snow piles.
    Stockholm received the most snow in this recent storm, recording 7.5 inches. The amount of snow deposited by the storm varied by location: Caribou received 7 inches, Fort Fairfield received 6.7 inches, Presque Isle received 6 inches, and Houlton received 3 inches.
