IT WAS A CAKEWALK — Four-year-old Elizabeth Howe hands in another ticket to try and win her choice for the traditional Cakewalk at the St. Patrick’s Bazaar last Saturday. And, finally, after several tries, little Elizabeth was successful. Later on another 4-year-old, Elizabeth Donahue, also landed successfully on the red stop sign earning her choice of sweet treats adorning the festive table while McNamara’s Band started and stopped to determine each winner in the musical chairs-like event. Howe’s aunt said “she worked hard for that cake.” The bazaar and supper attracted an estimated 400 people in the fund-raiser for St. Mary’s church on Military Street in Houlton.
