Concert to feature D.C. Washington and GHCA students

    The public is invited to a concert featuring D.C. Washington, a Virginia-based singer and recording artist. Accompanying him for this significant musical event will be a full orchestra, a choir of nearly 40 adult members, a Greater Houlton Christian Academy student ensemble and a praise band.
    The concert will be held at 7 p.m. on May 23 at the Houlton Wesleyan Church, Kelleran Street. The doors will open at 5:30 p.m. and GHCA student ushers will be available to greet and assist attendees with seating. A free-will offering will be taken to benefit the annual fund of Greater Houlton Christian Academy.
    Featured songs include, “I Will Rise,” “I Can Only Imagine,”  “You Are Good” and “Steppin’ On the Clouds.” The live orchestra is comprised of local musicians, and the adult choir draws its nearly 40 voices from surrounding communities.
    D.C. Washington, originally from the small town of McGehee, Arkansas, has served his country and his Lord around the world.
