Six Mill Pond students successfully completed the ‘Safe Baby Sitters’
course that included eight hours of training over the course of four days of the After School Program. Among the class topics covered were basic first aid, child and infant CPR, airway obstruction management, infant/toddler care, and safe play for children. Other areas covered were kitchen safety, healthy snacks and injury/accident prevention. School nurse Sandra Hare provided the instruction using some materials provided by Cooperative Extension and added more from the Red Cross training.
