Men’s Twilight League and Ladies’ Twilight League play began last week. The format and rules for this year are identical to last year. A schedule is posted on the bulletin board. Also coming up is the first evening of Couples’ League, which will begin Friday, June 12. This fun event is held each Friday night with a different golf game and is followed by some wonderful food. So get your spouse and join us for an entertaining evening. You do not have to commit to every week to be a part of the “League.”
    The 10th annual June Jamboree, a Member/Member – Member/Guest Tournament will be held on Saturday, June 20 at 7:30 a.m. The format again this year is nine holes of two-person scramble and nine holes of Best Ball. This popular All-net event is a fun competition, so sign up now.
Also coming up July 3  is the annual Houlton High School Alumni Scramble. Get your four-person team together and be ready for this nine hole golf treat at 9 a.m. You do not have to be a HHS Alumnus to play. If you don’t have a team, sign up anyway, and we will put you with a group.
Junior Golf begins on Tuesday, June 30 with registration at the range. The clinic will be held each Monday after that. Sign up your child now by calling the clubhouse at 532-2662. Youth 8-10 years old will go 8-9:30 a.m. and 11-15 year-olds from 9:30-11 a.m. each Monday.
June will be a busy month for golf with the good weather on its way, and vacation time. We have lots of events going on at the course throughout each week, but every day there is time for general play. So feel free to call the Pro shop to find out what is going on, and make tee times for any day.
