The Katahdin Valley 11-12-year-old softball team wrapped up its summer season last Friday in the District 3 Little League Softball Tournament.
In Houlton, the Bangor All-stars again defeated Katahdin Valley, 15-3 in five innings, ending their run.

Last Wednesday in Houlton, the Bangor All-stars blanked Katahdin Valley, 10-0 for their first loss in the double elimination tournament.
Bangor’s Cordelia Stewart pitched a four-inning, no-hitter with one walk and 11 strikeouts.
The Houlton All-stars were also eliminated from the District 3 playoffs with a 16-7 loss to Katahdin Valley last Thursday.
The Houlton All-stars’ first loss was a 13-0 shutout by Hermon last Wednesday at Community Park.
Hermon’s Jenna Crouse tossed a three-hit shutout with five strikeouts. The local All-stars were led by Katie Condon, Samantha Palmer and Tanika Toby who each singled.
