The 20th annual Toy Run to Benefit Area Children will take place Sunday, Aug. 30, sponsored by the United Vets Motorcycle Club of Houlton.
The run starts at Sports Inn, located on Bennett Dr. in Caribou, at 10 a.m. Participants will travel from there to the Mars Hill Fire Department, with departure from there scheduled for 11 a.m. The next stop will be at American Legion Post 47 in Houlton, with a departure time of noon planned.
From Houlton, riders will make the return trip to Caribou, where there will be food and beverages available.
“We do this every year, as a way to help area kids in need. Toys gathered this weekend will be distributed to area children this Christmas,” said Albert “Al” Gatto, of Presque Isle, one of the event organizers.
Gatto said everyone is invited to attend this worthy cause to help area children have a better Christmas.
“This is our 20th year sponsoring the toy run. We thank everyone for helping with this event,” he said.
Gatto also wished to remind participants to “Have fun, ride safe and ride at your own risk.”
