Productivity tips for MS Office at Higher Ed Center

    HOULTON — The Houlton Higher Education Center SAD 29/70 Adult Education announces two sessions designed to improve your computer productivity.  “Productivity Tips for MS Office” will cover advanced features of Word, Excel, and Access plus other trouble shooting tips that will increase your technology skills.  The sessions are on Tuesday, Dec. 8 and 15, 2009 from 6 – 8:30 p.m. at the Houlton Higher Education Center.   A separate registration is required for each session.  Space is limited to 10 students per session and pre-payment of $10 per session is required upon registration.  For more information, call 521-3100 x5.  To register, drop by the Houlton Higher Education Center Adult Education office or mail a check for $10 per person per session to SAD 29/70 Adult Education, Houlton Higher Education Center, 18 Military St., Houlton, ME 04730.  
Time to Get Ready for College Next Fall
    The Houlton Higher Education Center College Transitions and college readiness program is your opportunity to prepare for additional education.  The College Transitions program will guide you through the academic assessment process, the college-decision process, the financial aid process and the college application process – plus assist you in academic areas that need attention.  Classes begin in mid-January.  Call us at 521-3100 x5 to get started in CAP, the adult College Transitions program.
CPR & First Aid at Hodgdon Fire
    Region Two Adult Vocational Education announces a CPR course and a First Aid course at the Hodgdon Fire Department.  The CPR class will meet on Tuesday, Dec. 1, 2009 from 5:30 –9 p.m..  The First Aid class will meet on Thursday, Dec. 10, 2009 from 5:30 – 9 p.m.  Students may register for one or for both classes.  Paul Stewart is the instructor, and the fee for each course is $25.  For more information and to register, call MSAD 29/70 Adult Education at 521-3100 ext.5.
