Wanting a cat

Image    I’ve always wanted a cat but my mom would not let me. Then one night my mom woke me up. She told me to come downstairs. I yawned as I walked downstairs. Grandpa held a large cardboard box. Inside there were three baby kittens. One was shaggy. Her color was grayish yellow. The other one was black with white on his chest, and the other one was white and black. Their names were Jethro, Bear, and Precious.
When I saw them I was happy. “I thought you didn’t want cats, Mom,” I said.
“I didn’t know Grandpa had a surprise for you,” my mom said.
Then Grandpa said, “You want to help me feed them?”
    “Absolutely,” I said.
I held the kittens while Grandpa fed them. It was funny feeding Bear. We had to put milk on our fingers. That’s what I call a wish coming true.
