Kathy “Kate” MacDonald

MacDonald, Kathy, 64, June 10, 2010.  Arrangements by Bowers Funeral Home, Houlton.  Interment to be held in the St. Mary’s Cemetery, Houlton.     HOULTON – Kathy "Kate" MacDonald, 64, passed away peacefully the evening of June 10, 2010, in the presence of her family at her home. Kathy was born Jan. 10, 1946, in Houlton, the daughter of Fred and Kathryn (O'Donnell) Fitzpatrick.
    The focus of her life centered on her immediate and extended family, a lasting faith in Catholicism, an undying strength to cope with chronic health problems and a dedicated work ethic. She enjoyed her past 20 years of employment at F.A. Peabody Co. and the many friends gained through her work. Kathy is survived by her husband, Ervin; twin daughters, Lisa and her husband, Todd McGowan, of Ellsworth and their two sons, Logan and Alexander, and Lynn and her husband, Bruce Webber, of Falmouth and their son, Aiden; her mother, Kathryn; five brothers and their wives, Tom and Patricia of Littleton, Albert and MaryBeth of Houlton, Terry and Denise of Camden, Jeff and Kim of Yorktown, Va., and Bruce and Sue of Buxton; two sisters and their husbands, Teresa and Chris Kirkby of River Vale, N.J., and Rita and Phat Tran of Gardiner; nine nephews and seven nieces.
    She is predeceased by her father; and two sisters, Dianne and Mary.
    Friends called 7-9 p.m. Sunday, June 13, at Bowers Funeral Home, 10 Water St., Houlton. A Mass of Christian burial was held 10 a.m. Monday at St. Mary's Catholic Church. Interment was at St. Mary's Cemetery. A reception was held after the service at the church.
