6:30 p.m. – Smyrna Merrill Historical Society (old Methodist Church building) opening remarks, followed by “Mother Goose Has Flown the Coop” (family friendly play)

Saturday August 14
7-9 a.m. – Smyrna Merrill Historical Society, centennial breakfast, donations will be accepted
10 a.m. – Merrill centennial parade starts from Bethel Pentecostal Church, Oakfield Smyrna Rd. continues to Millstream Park on Rout 212.
11 a.m. – Firemen’s muster immediately following parade, beside Merrill Millstream Park
12 p.m. – Firemen will serve sell burgers and hotdogs
12-1 p.m. – Dunking booth
12:15 p.m.  Firemen don gear, after spinning on bat
1:30 p.m. Water war
2:25 p.m. Hose advance
4 p.m. Tug of war
Saturday Firemen-Children’s Events
11 a.m. – Ring toss
11 a.m. – Darts
12 p.m. – Native American dance by Eagle Rose
1 p.m. – Search sandpit for quarters.
1p.m.; 3 p.m. – Magician and balloon shows at the park
1 p.m. – Military Gold Star and Blue Star awards
2 p.m. – Water shuttle
2:45 p.m. – Bike drawings for boys and girls
3 p.m. – Hose advance
5-6:30 p.m. – Chicken barbecue at Merrill Millstream Park
Afternoon and all-day events at Millstream Park
2 p.m. throughout the evening – Concert featuring local musicians. Bring your own chair.

Sunday, August 15
Millstream Park events
10 a.m. – North Country Auto Cruisers Antique auto display, hot dog stand
12 p.m. – Bethel Pentecostal Youth Group hosts ice cream sundae bar; Merrill centennial cake served; National Guard hosts activities trailer for youth; Captain Merrill’s Pioneer Village all day.
4 p.m. – Closing remarks, awards: oldest citizen; longest married; newest married; centennial couple; first baby of the year; centennial baby
Specials
Sunday afternoon – Antique trucks on display at S.H. Nevers garage on Dyer Brook Rd. in Dyer Brook.
Surprise event
Teddy Bear drop Saturday or Sunday from airplane – wind and weather permitting.
