PRESQUE ISLE – Maine Potato Growers (MPG), Inc. is hosting its second annual MPG Farm Days Trade Show & Expo at The Forum in Presque Isle. The show features all of MPG’s departments and more than 30 vendor representatives. MPG Farm Days offers growers the opportunity to have a hands-on look at the latest equipment and supplies. The Expo is the only local show of its kind specifically targeted to the needs of farmers.
The 2008 show is nearly double the size of last year’s show, and has been eagerly anticipated by local growers. Participants are invited to attend workshops, along with other demonstrations throughout the show. Topics include grower finance options, water and irrigation outlook, the economics of fuel additives, GPS technology, and much more.
“This is an excellent opportunity exclusively for farmers to get a good look at the various products and services offered by MPG,” said Joe Lallande, MPG president and chief executive officer. “We very excited to have our full range of products available under one roof, along with staff to answer any questions. In addition, we’ve added a number of workshops and demonstrations. It should be a great experience for our growers.”
The MPG Farm Days Trade Show & Expo wraps up Wednesday, April 9 with a pancake breakfast at 7 a.m., with the show open from 9 a.m.-3 p.m. All events take place at The Forum in Presque Isle.
