Houlton Airport gets new signage

HOULTON, Maine — The Sargent Corporation and Stantec Consulting have presented the town with two new signs for the Houlton International Airport. Both signs replace older, outdated signs. One is located at the entrance to the airport and the other is on the airport terminal building.
Stantec Consulting has served as the town’s airport consulting engineer for the past several years. Sargent was the winning bidder for both the $788,000 airport apron reconstruction project in 2006 and the $4.9 million runway rehabilitation project in 2009.
The Houlton Town Council recently acknowledged the gift of the signs and expressed appreciation to both firms. Town Manager Doug Hazlett commented: “The high quality signs are a great improvement for the airport and we very much appreciate the generosity of both Stantec and Sargent Corporation. Both firms have done an excellent quality job on our past projects, and we look forward to working with them again in the future.”
